We are going to play a game

Today we are going to play a game.  This game is called Look Closely.

Round 1
Elyse plays with My Little Ponies.  She even makes them go potty.

Cute right? Now lets look closely?

They are umm...ummm.....sleeping.

Round 2
While we were at the zoo, the kids were super excited about the elephants, see for yourself.

Hotel Fun

Recently we stayed in a hotel.  How, do you ask, do you entertain kids in a hotel room at 6 in the morning because they wont sleep anymore?

Watch TV while laying in bed?

Play in the closet?

Call for room service?

Ehh, I guess we will just have a drink.

Off to the Zoo

While we were out of town for Thanksgiving, we went to the St Louis Zoo.  This place is great and its 100% free. There is no fee to get it for anyone.  You do have to pay for drinks and some attractions, but other than that its free.  Its a great way to entertain the kids for absolutely nothing.

Im off my rant of free stuff, Im a sucker for it.

The kids had so much fun.  They got so excited when they saw the animals.  It was very entertaining. (I seem to be saying this a lot lately)

When we walked in, Elyse gave a seal a kiss.

Cole started asking where the animals were.  Elyse yelled, "Lets go find them"  and they took off.

We saw some hogs (at least thats what I think they were)

And a Rhino, who kept playing peek-a-boo walking back and forth from a rock.  The kids thought it was hilarious.  "Mom he hiding?"  wait for it wait for it  and then as they shriek, "THERE HE IS THERE HE IS"

We tried to take a group picture and we all got distracted (runs in the family)

I guess it was funny

Then I saw this deer in a tree.  Its fake but Im still not sure why it was there.

And the kids found a tree to run through

We saw Hippos, or the butts of hippos.

In which Elyse told everyone "Hippo has a big butt and hes poopy"

Cole kissed a snake, its fake thank God

Of course we saw the elephants

The kids were fascinated with them, until, wait thats another post. :)

We then went to the bug area, gross.

And we went inside the butterfly garden.

It was a great day, even if it was gloomy.
The kids didnt mind,
Their giggles told me so.
